About Parga
Parga is located on the western coast of Greece, in the region of Epirus. This is a wonderful seaside town with island feeling. Standing out for the natural beauty, the amazing beaches and the historical sights, the region of Parga is a fabulous holiday destination.
There you will find long sandy beaches to swim and wonderful coves to enjoy your privacy. Do not miss the beaches of Valtos, Lichnos, Sarakiniko and Krioneri. They all have crystal water and they are surrounded by wonderful lush nature.
Interesting places to visit in Parga are the Venetian Castle above the town, the Castle of Anthoussa, the springs of river Acherontas (that was the entrance to the Underworld, according to ancient Greek mythology) and the ancient site of Nekromanteion (20km from Parga) along with the Byzantine Monastery of Agios Dimitrios (20 km from Parga too).
Some additional unique places to are the Venetian Fortress, the French Castle in the island of Panagia, the Castle of Agia "Ali Pasha", the Byzantine Monastery in Valtos and the Ecclesiastical Museum.
Parga is an ideal destination for activities in nature, such as scuba diving, SUP, windsurfing and water ski, while if you prefer the mountain to the sea, you can enjoy mountaineering routes, mountain running, and mountain biking.
